HPD: 60-year-old man beaten, robbed in Kakaako

KAKAAKO (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are investigating the beating and robbery of a 60-year-old man in Kakaako Sunday night.

The man told investigators that two men approached him at about 9:25 PM, and one of them struck him with a club-like weapon, knocking him unconscious. He says when he awoke, his money and jewelry were missing.

No one has been arrested. One suspect is believed to be in his 40s, while the other may be in his 20s.

The case is classified as first-degree robbery.
