HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The H-1 Freeway ZipperLane will be deployed Sunday evening so crews can repair sections of the barrier.
Deployment begins at 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes if traveling westbound from Honolulu to Waipahu.
The state Department of Transportation (DOT) advises motorists that the two leftmost lanes of the H-1 Freeway will be closed from the Keehi Interchange in Mapunapuna to the Managers Drive Overpass in Waipahu from 4:00 p.m. on Sunday until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17.
For the rest of the week, the ZipperLane will continue to operate per its regular schedule.
