HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii gasoline prices remained the same in some areas and declined in Honolulu during the past week, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.
The statewide average for regular unleaded on Thursday is $4.21 a gallon, two cents less than last week.
Honolulu's average price declined over the past week by three cents from $4.12 to $4.09 a gallon. Honolulu's price is three cents more than a month ago and 75 cents higher than this time last year.
In Hilo, the average gas price is $4.30 a gallon, the same price as last week, four cents more than last month and 84 cents more than this time last year.
Wailuku's average is $4.44 a gallon, the same price as last week, a nickel more than last month and 53 cents more than on this date last year.
Hawaii's state average continues to lead the nation today at $4.21 a gallon followed by Alaska at $4.022 and Oregon at $3.75.
