HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Tonight is the opening night of the Hawaii International Film Festival 31 presented by Halekulani. Anderson Le, HIFF programming director, stopped by Sunrise to give us an exclusive preview of the following events:
"The Front Line," HIFF's opening night film, screens Thursday, October 13 at 8 p.m. at Regal Dole Cannery Stadium. General tickets cost $20, military/seniors/students pay $18.
Grammy Award-winning producer, DJ, and lyricist 9th Wonder presents a live music showcase on Friday, October 14 at 9 p.m. at Next Door, located at 43 N. Hotel St. Advanced general admission tickets cost $10.
Sunset on the Beach takes place Saturday, October 15, at 6:30 p.m. at Queen's Beach in Waikiki. Enjoy screenings of "My Koaloha Story" and "In the Hearts of Africa." Pre-show entertainment begins at 4 p.m. This event is free to the public.
"An Afternoon with Hawaii Five-0" will be held Sunday, October 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Halekulani. The show's producers, cast and crew will take part in a unique panel discussion and rare Q&A session. Tickets cost $20 general admission and $15 for HIFF members.
