Men arrested for Kauai ATM robbery

NAWILIWILI, Kauai (HawaiiNewsNow) - Kauai police have arrested two men for stealing an ATM from Anchor Cove Shopping Center in Nawiliwili on Sept. 26.

26- year-old Joseph Rapozo III of Anahola was arrested on Sept. 29 and charged with first degree theft in connection with the ATM robbery.

Rapozo was also charged with the following offenses: felon in possession of a firearm; possession of drug paraphernalia; resisting arrest; revocation/modification of probation; second degree assault of a police officer; and second degree promotion of a dangerous drug.

Currently, Rapozo is incarcerated at Kaua'i Community Correctional Center in lieu of a $69,000 bail.

Forty-eight year old Alvin Isobe of Kapaa was arrested on Monday for first degree theft in connection with the ATM robbery.

Isobe is being held in police cell block with bail set at $30,000.

His arraignment is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12.
