HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)-The Hawaii Fishing & Seafood Festival was created by the Pacific Islands Fisheries Group in 2005 as their annual fundraiser event and bringing together the best of Hawaii's fishing and seafood communities. Since its inception the event now attracts over 20,000 people each year. The HFSF takes place on Honolulu's Fishing Village at Pier 38 on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 9am-4pm. Discover over 100 different vendors, taste Hawaii's delicious local seafood, watch live fishing demonstrations, tour a longline boat, or learn a new casting technique.
