AIEA (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 67-year-old man has died after emergency crews rescued him from an Aiea trail Friday morning.
According to officials, the man suffered a heart attack and collapsed some time before 5:20 a.m. on the Waimalu Hunting Trail.
Fire officials say the man was hunting with his two sons and nephew about an hour to an hour-and-a-half into the trail.
Crews located the hiker and airlifted him off the trail.
He was then transported to the Pali Momi Medical Center in extremely critical condition.
