DEVELOPING: Wildfire Still Burning, Missile Defense Test, & High Surf

Developing this morning on the Big Island... A wildfire at the Army's Pohakuloa Training Area has burned 2,000 acres so far, and Saddle Road remains closed due to heavy smoke and flames. (Click Here For More Details)

Dan Cooke will have some weather news wildfire crews will like to hear this morning. A Red Flag Warning has been lifted. Dan will also be monitoring the surf which is still high on the south shore.

Also new overnight.. The Missile Defense Agency is celebrating a successful mission this morning. Last night the ground based missile defense system destroyed two test missiles over the ocean. The operation was based at the Missile Range Facility on Kauai. The video of the interception is pretty amazing. You can check it out on Sunrise at 5:30 a.m.
