HNN Thursday: Hawaiian Music Entertainer Pleads Not Guilty to Charges of Sexually Assaulting Two Girls

It's a busy Thursday in the newsroom!

Right now, our Minna Sugimoto is at the scene of a boat fire happening about 1/2 mile off of Waikiki Beach.

There were reports of a series of explosions and people jumping off the boat and into the water. We'll have the latest tonight at 5 & 5:30.

Also, we're following new details in the arrest of Cecilio Rodriguez. The other half of the duo C&K has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex crimes against two young girls.

Turning algae into energy? It may sound strange but that's the plan at the Kahe Generating Station. We'll have more on Hawaiian Electric's new bio-fuel venture.

And... a man ignores shark warning signs in South Africa and gets attacked! Watch dramatic video of the rescue when you join us tonight at 5.

Shawn Ching, Ben Gutierrez and I will see you on the news!

Aloha,

Stephanie Lum
