NEW OVERNIGHT: Japan shakes, Nesat returns, & a deadly outbreak gets worse

We're following breaking news out of Northeastern Japan, scene of the devastating March earthquake and tsunami, the country has been hit with yet another strong temblor. Today's quake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.6. There were no immediate reports of damage and no tsunami warning was issued.

The Sunrise crew is also tracking Severe Weather. Typhoon Nesat is taking aim at Hong Kong after making its way across the South China Sea after killing at least 35 people and leaving another 45 missing in the Philippines.

As far as our weather in Hawaii goes, a dissipating cold front could bring a few more showers Friday and early Saturday. Dan Cooke will have the details.

This just in.. The number of people seeking unemployment benefits falls to lowest level in 5 months. Howard Dicus is monitoring this financial story and many others.

Another story we'll be tracking on Sunrise is the deadly Listeria outbreak effecting Cantaloupe. It is now the most fatal outbreak of a food-borne illness in the U.S. in more than a decade. That frightening fact has federal health officials expanding efforts to protect American consumers. The FDA is partnering with states to check retail stores and distributors, at least 13 people have died and more could follow due to the incubation period of Listeria.

Day 3 of the Conrad Murray trial is set to begin in just minutes. Today, more employees of Michael Jackson are expected to take the stand to talk about what happened in his rented mansion the day he died. Live cameras will be back in the courtroom, we will have the proceedings live when it begins. It's set to start around 5:45 a.m.
