HPD opens assault case after baby girl suffers fractured skull, other injuries

MILILANI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police have opened a first-degree assault case after an infant arrived at a hospital with a fractured skull and other injuries.

Investigators say a 26-year-old man called 911 from a home in Mililani at about 5:30 PM Tuesday, saying that his daughter was unresponsive. Paramedics took the seven-week-old girl to Wahiawa General Hospital, and then to the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.

She was reported to be in critical condition.

No one has been arrested.
