Kailua house fire displaces 2

KAILUA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two people are homeless after a fire ripped through a Kailua home Monday morning.

The two women who live at 528 Kipuka Place were not at home when the fire started.

Firefighters received the first call at 11:09 a.m. The flames were under control by 11:26 a.m. and extinguished by 11:37 a.m.

A neighbor called 911, two dogs managed to escape the flames.

The American Red Cross is assisting those who live on Kipuka Place.
