PUNA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police are trying to find out who took 22 large solar panels from a Federal Aviation Administration Navigation facility in Puna.
According to officials, the theft happened between Sept. 13 and 17. Twelve panels were taken and two were damaged.
Then between the Sept. 18 and 22, someone used a vehicle to ram the front gate and take 10 more panels.
The FAA site is used to send signals to commercial airlines.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police.
