No Tsunami after 6.2 Quake near Samoa

Samoa Islands Region (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is no Tsunami threat to Hawaii after a strong 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck near Samoa..

According to the U.S.G.S the quake hit 263 miles west south-west of Apia, Samoa at 1:07 p.m. Hawaii time.

It was at a depth of 25.5 miles.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says that a destructive Pacific-wide Tsunami is not expected and there is no Tsunami threat to Hawaii.
