HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Chaminade Basketball Head Coaches Eric Bovaird and Bobby Keanini and their teams hosted a two-hour clinic open to kids in grade eight and lower at the Honolulu Boys & Girls Club, Charles C. Spaulding Clubhouse, this past Saturday.
The clinic, focused on basic basketball skills allowed for the Chaminade basketball teams to engage with children in the local community. The Silversword women worked with the children for the first hour and the men had an opportunity to interact in the second hour.
Chaminade athletic director, Bill Villa, saw it as a great experience for all involved. "We had a great turnout for the event, we are thrilled we can contribute to it and I am personally glad we were a part of it. I want to thank Adidas, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hawaii as well as EA Sports Maui Invitational Tournament and the KemperLesnik staff for all the support in making these clinics possible."
Chaminade will host another Adidas Hoops Clinic for Kids on October 8th at Ewa Beach Boys & Girls Club (Hale Pono Clubhouse) from 10AM-Noon. Check-in will be at 9:30 AM HT.
