KAIMUKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The City and County of Honolulu is conducting a traffic study along Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki and Tuesday morning it resulted in heavy traffic.
Waialae Avenue moved at a crawl Tuesday morning as one lane was coned off for the study.
One lane on Waialae Avenue will be closed for 24 hours, between Old Waialae Road and 11th Avenue.
The study will continue through September 22.
There will be no afternoon contra-flow lanes on these days.
Also, parking on the mauka side of Waialae Avenue between 11th Avenue and 8th Avenue will be prohibited.
The City says motorists can expect delays.
