Rainbow Wahine Stay Put at No.11

LEXINGTON, KY. (HawaiiNewsNow) – The latest AVCA Top 25 national poll was released Monday with the University of Hawai‘i women's volleyball team retaining their No.11 ranking.

Hawai‘i is now 10-1 after picking up a pair of wins over current No. 19 Pepperdine. So far, the ‘Bows have taken on five ranked opponents, losing only to current No. 7 UCLA.

California (13-0) retains its No.1 ranking.

Of UH's other 2011 opponents, Long Beach State moved up three spots to a tie for No. 21, and Ohio State moved from No. 25 to No. 24. Wichita State, Arizona, and Cincinnati all received Top 25 votes.

The ‘Bows hit the road this week for the first time this season, as they open WAC play at Idaho and Utah State. They play the Vandals on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 7:00 PT, and the Aggies on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 2:00 p.m. MT.
