Warning signs remain posted at Kuau Beach following wastewater spill

PAIA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Authorities on Maui are still urging the public to stay out of the water at Kuau Beach in Paia.

According to officials, about 5,000 gallons of wastewater entered a storm drain on Friday that empties into the ocean on the Kahului end of the beach.

Warning signs have been posted in the area.
