HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Services for Officer Eric Fontes, the Honolulu police officer who died Tuesday after a crash on Farrington Highway have been set.

Visitation will be held between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. The family requests no flowers.
Services also are scheduled on the island of Molokai Saturday, October 8, at a time and place to be determined.
45-year-old Eric Fontes was a seven-year veteran. Fontes was killed and 55-year-old officer Herman Scanlan was seriously injured when a pickup truck crashed into them Tuesday night.
Officer Scanlan is currently in Stable condition at the Queen's Medical Center.
The driver of the pickup truck was released from jail pending investigation.
Hawaii Army National Guard private James Dorsey Mancao reportedly told police he fell asleep before the crash. But even if alcohol, drugs, and speeding are ruled out, Dorsey could still face the misdemeanor charge of third-degree negligent homicide.
