Good Wednesday Morning!
A Honolulu police officer is dead and another is hospitalized this morning after a traffic stop on Farrington Highway near Ko Olina. They were attending to a dark-colored SUV that was stopped in or near the west-bound median lane late last night when a pickup traveling in the same direction slammed into at least one of the police units on scene injuring the officers. Ramsay Wharton and I will have live updates on the investigation.
An Oahu teenager convicted of beating a taxi driver to death is scheduled to be sentenced today. Michael Robles was found guilty of manslaughter for attacking Charlys Ty Tang in Waipahu last year. Robles faces up to 20 years in prison.
