Suspicious truck closes Pearl Harbor's Halawa gate

PEARL HARBOR (HawaiiNewsNow) - A suspicious truck prompted military police to close Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam's Halawa gate Monday afternoon.

The Navy says they closed the gate just before 11 a.m. for security reasons during a routine vehicle inspection.

All commercial traffic was diverted to the Kuntz Avenue gate.

The Navy says there was no danger to the public and that an investigation is underway.

The Halawa Gate reopened at 12:50 p.m
