Suspect held in Kalihi stabbing death

KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Police have arrested a 21 year-old man for second-degree murder in the Saturday night stabbing death of a 24 year-old man at the Mayor Wright Housing Project in Kalihi.

The stabbing was reported at 9:32 p.m.

The Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as TJ Mori.

According to investigators, the suspect and Mori were neighbors at the apartment complex. Police said that during an argument, the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim was taken in critical condition to the Queen's Medical Center, where he later died.

The suspect was located a short distance away and was arrested without incident. Police said the weapon was not recovered at the scene.
