MAILI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A brush fire scorched an open lot in Maili Saturday afternoon, but didn't threaten homes or cause any injuries.
According to the Honolulu Fire Department, the fire was reported at 2:30 p.m. near 87-549 Kulaaupuni Street. The blaze happened in a relatively flat, open lot. Fire crews were able to control the fire by 4 p.m.
Thirty-two firefighters responded to the blaze. The cause remains under investigation.
