Hawaii loses in a shootout in Seattle

SEATTLE (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii fell behind early and could never catch-up. The Warriors fell to 1-1 on the season with the 40 to 32 loss to Washington in Seattle.

At one point the Huskies were up 21-0 in the first half, that is when Hawaii got things going.

Right before the half, the Warriors made it 21-14 after a 99 yard interception by Richard Torres. Then on the next series the Huskies scored on a 31 yard TD pass from Keith Price to Devin Aguilar.

Washington scored on a two yard touchdown run by Chris Polk and four touchdown passes from Keith Price. Washington also added a field goal and a 2-point defensive conversion.

Hawaii scored on two Sterling Jackson touchdown runs and a Bryant Moniz touchdown pass and run.

Hawaii travels next week to face UNLV in Nevada . Last Saturday the Warriors ran over the Colorado Buffaloes in non- conference action, scoring a 34-17 win at Aloha Stadium.
