Local 5 members working at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki are taking part in a 7-day coordinated strike this morning. Sticking points include outsourcing, workloads and employee safety. Ramsay Wharton will have live updates on the labor dispute.

An animal cruelty case involving a suspected puppy mill on Oahu is set to resume with a new judge. Judge Glenn Kim disqualified himself last month because his wife's pet-sitting company cares for one of the 153 dogs taken from the Waimanalo facility.
