HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Autopsies are scheduled Tuesday for two Schofield soldiers who died in waters near Chinaman's Hat on Friday.

Sergeant John Nguyen, 27, and Private Tuan Huynh, 26, apparently drowned near Mokoli'i Island.

According to investigators, the two men were walking in shallow water when they hit a deep pocket around 1 p.m. Friday.

Officials first thought the victims were caught by a rising tide.
