HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A third prisoner charged with escaping from the Waiawa Correctional Facility two months ago pleaded guilty Thursday.

David Carvalho, Jr., 40, pleaded guilty to second-degree escape, a class C felony. He faces an additional five years in prison when he is sentenced in November.

Authorities launched an island-wide manhunt when four inmates were discovered missing from the minimum-security prison in June. All four were arrested capping a two-day search.

George Thomas and Jordan White have also given up their court fight. They are scheduled to be sentenced October 24th.

Elijah Keakahumoku is expected to enter his guilty plea next week.
