WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A New York state judge has ordered that control of the Waikiki EDITION hotel be returned to Marriott International, Inc. by 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
All this follows an overnight raid Sunday where the owners of the Waikiki EDITION seized control.
"The past few days have been trying, frustrating and confusing for our guests and employees. We're glad the judge returned the Waikiki EDITION to our hands," Marriott International president and chief operating officer Arne Sorenson said. "We are in the process of resuming operations, quickly returning the hotel and its service to EDITION standards."
According to Marriott International executive vice president and general counsel Ed Ryan, the company took swift legal action following Sunday's event.
Service has not been interrupted at the EDITION. Guests can still make reservations at www.Marriott.com.
