MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The body of a Maui native killed in Afghanistan returned home Wednesday.

Kraig Vickers was one of 30 American servicemembers killed on Aug. 6.

The 36-year-old bomb disposal specialist was attached to a Navy Seal team.

Their helicopter was shot down by insurgents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center's Castle Theater.

The service is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m..
