KAHUKU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's been 33-days since Kahuku Head Football Coach Reggie Torres was suspended from his duties. Tuesday, the face of the Red Raiders learned he can officially roam the sidelines once again.
Last month, Torres was suspended after failing to tell the school's principal that a J.V. player brought an illegal substance to a preseason football camp
Torres told us that he will make his return to Kahuku's practice Wednesday afternoon.
"I'm excited, I'm really excited. I miss the kids and coaches, it's been a tough, tough 30 days. That's why I decided to wait it out and be patient. Because the opportunity to work with these great kids. Like I said, we started this together and we want to finish the journey."
The Red Raiders are 3-0 under the guidance of interim head coach Walter Santiago. Kahuku hosts Kaiser this Friday at 7pm.
