HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Moiliili Community Center got some much needed sprucing up Saturday with the help of its banking community.
Nearly 100 Bank of Hawaii volunteers pitched in to sort and label thrift shop donations.
Others fanned out to an area nearby to trim back trees and pick up trash.
It was all in celebration of Community Service Day 2011.
"If anything the need in the future will grow with the aging population, and with the cuts in many government programs, what we do becomes more and more important year after year", said Moiliili Community Center Board President Grant Kagimoto.
