BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - There will be a community meeting Friday and Saturday to discuss 120 feral Waikoloa donkeys being sent to California.
The humane society is planning to move the animals to control their populations and keep them away from busy areas.
More than 200 have already been sent to new homes since last year.
The public forum begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Waikoloa Community Church.
A second meeting will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Waikii Ranch Clinic.
