HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are searching for the driver of a truck who they say slammed into a bicyclist.
Investigators say around 11p.m. Wednesday a 20-year-old Kalihi man was riding his bicycle in the center Ewa-bound lane of Dillingham Boulevard just before Kalihi Street when he was hit from behind.
Police say the driver of the light-colored Toyota Tacoma pick-up turned right on Kalihi Street and fled Mauka.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say the bicyclist was not wearing a helmet and the bicycle did not have lights or reflectors.
