HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii Rep. Colleen Hanabusa made it official and says she will seek re-election to the U.S. House of representatives.
The decision to seek another term in the House ends speculation that she would run for the U.S. Senate.
During a live interview on Hawaii News Now at 5:30, Rep. Hanabusa said it was not an easy decision, because a Senate seat doesn't come open very often; however she couldn't leave Hawaii without some experience in the U.S. House.
Hanabusa also said she is looking forward to a re-match with Republican Charles Djou. Last week Djou said he will run for the seat he lost to Hanabusa last year. Djou will be deployed to Afghanistan next month.
