World Series champs return home

After a long road trip playing tough teams in Bangor, Maine, the Hilo-all stars returned home Sunday night as the new senior league World Series champs!

After a long 14 hour flight the players were happy to be home.

"Oh it was awesome ..Sick!"

The team beat Texas 11 to 1 on Saturday.

"Awesome for the kids it's good. Yeah for the island, Hilo winning the world series and bringing them home again it's pretty good" said Hilo head coach Kaha Wong.

Player Chace Kaua agrees, "I did pretty good I was hitting I made plays on defense it was amazing." Pitcher Kaimana Moike also excited to be home, "The last game was awesome got to play with good teammates it's the greatest feeling winning the world championship."

Mayor Billy Kenoi proclaimed Sunday the Hilo Senior Little League World Champs day!

They'll be honored once more in a parade reportedly in the works!
