However, Hawaii has some competition because Puerto Rico and Florida are in the running.
The private company has reached an agreement in principle with NASA.
They'll launch cargo-carrying rockets to resupply the International Space Station.
The state and NASA recently reached a two-year space exploration agreement earlier this year.
The goal is to test new technologies using Hawaii's moon- and Mars-like terrain.
