HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two of four men charged with breaking out of the Waiawa Correctional Facility and triggering a two-day, island-wide manhunt two months ago decided to give up their court fight Thursday.

Jordan White and George Thomas each face an additional five years in prison after pleading guilty and no contest, respectively, to second-degree escape. The inmates, who are now being housed at the high-security Halawa Correctional Facility, are scheduled to be sentenced in October.

Investigators say White, Thomas and two other inmates got out of their housing unit, scaled a couple of fences, and managed to walk off the property undetected. Waiawa is a minimum-security facility.

White and Elijah Keakahumoku were eventually located at an apartment complex in Wahiawa. Authorities arrested Thomas and David Carvalho, Jr. in the parking lot of the Pagoda Hotel.

Trial for Keakahumoku and Carvalho is tentatively set for September.
