Big Island police cracking down on DUI enforcement

HONOLULU HawaiiNewsNow - Police in Hilo say they are stepping up their enforcement on drunk driving beginning Thursday.

It's all part of a national campaign running through Sept. 6.

There will also be a sign waving on Kamehameha Avenue in Hilo Thursday afternoon.

Police say to expect more DUI checkpoints and an increased patrol presence through the Labor Day Weekend.
