Coming Up on Hawaii News Now Monday

Aloha from Hawaii News Now! Here's what we're working on for our 5 and 5:30 newscasts.

DOW JONES DOWN -- WAY DOWN!

With Standard and Poor's downgrade to the U.S. credit rating, Wall Street tanked today. We'll have a full analysis, including what Howard Dicus thinks of the free fall and how it may affect you.

SEXTING INDICTEMENT; TRIAL DATE SET

The man accused of engaging in illegal behavior with a young girl was indicted today. Cody Onizuka's trial date has also been set. We'll have the latest on the case.

ANOTHER SUGAR GLIDER TURNED IN

Another illegal animal has been turned in. This time it's another "Sugar Glider," which is similar to a flying squirrel. The downside: it can carry rabies. We'll show it to you tonight.

BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS IN KAILUA

Also coming up tonight: they've been in the ground for more than two decades, but today work started to remove concrete barriers at Kailua Beach Park. The project also will repair the boat ramp there. Ramsay Wharton will have the latest from the windward side.

Also tonight, Guy Hagi has the latest on the BLUSTERY -- and HOT island conditions.

I hope you'll join me for these stories and more when I see you on Hawaii News Now at 5 and 5:30.

Aloha,

Shawn
