(BIG ISLAND) (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police are warning the public about a recent rash of car break-ins in the lower Puna Area.
Police say the break-ins are at isolated parks and sites ranging from Lava Tree Park to Kehena Beach Parking Lot.
In a news release police say the Primary method of entry is via the vehicle window by breaking glass or reaching in a partially opened window to unlock the door. Victims of these crimes have included visitors and local residents alike.
Police are asking for the public's help in providing any leads to identify possible suspects.
