The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Hawaii is still a few months away, but education experts from 20 APEC economies are already in Honolulu for a three-day meeting. The University of Hawaii is hosting the conference on higher education. U.H. president M.R.C. Greenwood and U.S. Department of Education assistant secretary for postsecondary education Eduardo Ochoa will be in our studio today.

We're featuring healthy dinner suggestions for children as they head back to school. Foodland corporate chef Keoni Chang will be cooking up a storm in our kitchen.

Malika will be zooming in on ProjectFocus Hawaii. 14 children from Down Syndrome Ohana of Hawaii are taking part in a photography internship this summer.
