State sending jury surveys to 225,000 residents

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Anyone who receives a questionnaire from the state in the mail should fill it out.

The state judiciary is sending surveys to 225,000 residents to help them select people for jury duty.

The forms will go to people who have a Hawaii driver's license, are registered to vote here or pay state income taxes.

Anyone who receives a form will have 10 days to complete and return it, or may be ordered to court to fill it out at one's own expense.
