HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three Hawaii-based insects and 16 native Oahu plants are being considered for the Federal Endangered Species List.
The bugs are varieties of the damselfly.
The plants include herb, shrubs, trees and a fern.
Experts say they're all threatened by the disappearance of their native habitat and invasive animals.
The process to get on the Endangered Species List could take several years.
