WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu firefighters responded to a condo fire in Waikiki Monday morning.
According to officials, it happened at the Big Surf Condo-Apartments located at 1690 Ala Moana Boulevard.
Firefighters had the blaze under control at about 9:05 a.m.
According to officials, the fire was confined to a mattress.
No injuries or extensive damages were reported.
Two dogs were rescued from the unit.
The right and center lanes of 1690 Ala Moana Boulevard in the Ewa direction were closed as firefighters extinguished the flames. The lanes were later reopened.
The American Red Cross volunteers are assisting the residents affected by the fire.
Damages are estimated to be $25,000.
