HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The school year begins today for Hawaii's public schools. With new teachers, homework and after school activities, schedules can get pretty hectic.
So what can parents do to make sure their keiki stay healthy? Dr. Mike Hamilton, a pediatrician from Kaiser Permanente, joins us this week to discuss back to school health.
Today's topic: the importance of sleep. How much should your child get, the dangers of sleep deprivation and how can you make sure your child gets the proper amount of sleep.
