Hawaii receiving nearly $400K for outdoor recreation

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Nearly $400,000 of federal government money will go toward improving outdoor recreation in the islands.

The Department of Land and Natural Resources says it wants to use the funding for improvements at Ka Iwi State Scene Shoreline and repairs to the Makapu'u Lighthouse Trail.

Some of the money will also go to improving Polihale State Park on Kauai.
