Coming Up on Hawaii News Now Monday

Aloha from Hawaii News Now ... I hope you had a great weekend.

Here's what we're working on for our 5 and 5:30 newscasts on this Aloha Monday.

BEACHES CLOSED; VIDEO OF BIG ISLAND SHARKS

Several Big Island beaches remain closed tonight because of recent shark sightings. Tonight, Tim Sakahara tells us about the harrowing experience by a father and son ... and shows us video of the sharks that safety officials are concerned about. Tim also talks with state officials and a local shark expert about the situation.

MOTION FILED IN FORCED LABOR TRIAL

Brothers Alec and Mike Sou appeared at U.S. District Court today with a request for the court. If the get what they want, their trial could end before it even gets underway. Jury selection begins in a matter of days and tonight, Minna Sugimoto will have the latest.

TORI RICHARDS GETS THE NOD

And a family owned company gets the thumbs up for a big job during the APEC leaders meeting in November. Who the long-time and well known Hawaii company is, tonight.

Also tonight ... Guy Hagi has the latest on weather ... and Kelly Mumme is keeping up with today's Monday afternoon commute.

That's it for now, time to get back to work for me ... I hope you'll join Stephanie Lum and me for these stories and more on Hawaii News Now at 5 and 5:30.

Aloha,

Shawn
