US Marshals Service task force arrests sex offender

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man on probation for failing to register as a sex offender was arrested Monday.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service task force arrested Andrew Hoolulu, 62, at his Wahiawa home at 11:30 a.m.

He's wanted on a $20,000 HOPE probation warrant.

According to officials, Hoolulu is a registered sex offender and classified as a "Repeat Covered Offender."

Officials say he's been previously convicted of Failure To Comply With Covered Offender Registration Requirements, Sex Assault 2 and Sex Assault 3.

Hoolulu was booked into the Oahu Community Correctional Center pending court appearance.
