PEARL CITY (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Honolulu Fire Department rescue team is assisting in the rescue of two male hikers on Manana Trail in the Pearl City area.
The two male hikers, believed to be in their 20s, were reported stranded Thursday at about 5 p.m.
According to officials, heavy weather and lack of visibility made the rescue task impossible.
Two rescue personnel were left there overnight. They tried to reach the hikers, but it was too dangerous.
Crews resumed their search Friday morning. The two hikers were air rescued out of the trail at about 9:45 a.m.
