No one hurt after man fires gun in downtown Honolulu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Early morning gunshots were reported in downtown Honolulu on Wednesday.

According to witnesses, the incident happened at about 2 a.m. near Vineyard Boulevard when a man stopped to ask a group of homeless people for food.

The man then pulled a gun and fired several shots into the air.

Witnesses say other people nearby chased after the gunman who ran toward the Zippy's restaurant on Maunakea Street.

The suspect then jumped into a black truck and took off.

No injuries were reported.
